Series Six[]
The sixth series first aired on the 1st of September 2010 and finished after 20 episodes on the 6th of April 2011. The sixth series of Waterloo Road aired in the UK on Wednesdays at 8.00pm GMT on BBC One. It received an average of 5.11 million viewers per episode.
Plot[]
In the first episode of the sixth series we see Chris waking up for work with a mystery girl in his bed from the night before, little does Chris know that she isn't as old as she claims to be an is a student at Waterloo Road. Not only that, but she is the new heads daughter, which leaves Chris' career hanging in the balance when all is revealed later in the series.
Karen Fisher arrives as the new head of Waterloo Road and is confident that she can change and improve Waterloo Road, however behind her confident posterior she is hiding the fact that her family is struggling with the disappearance of her eldest daughter, Bex. Bex returns to Waterloo Road and carries on as normal, however, her past is revealed when another student finds a video of her online and she is forced to tell her mother what happened. Hodge, the boy she had ran away with was using her to gain money from videos, and he finds Bex and demands she comes back to him or he'll upload a video of Jess who has also slept with Hodge not knowing exactly who he was. Bex tells Jess she is running away and the pair are held captive when Jess tries to stop Bex from leaving, the police catch up with Hodge and the girls are able to return to normality.
Also in series 6 former student Janeece Bryant returns as the new school secretary and is heavily pregnant, later in the series she gives birth to baby girl and names her Cheryl. Another returning character is former French teacher Steph Haydock, she returns for only a couple of episodes to help Grantly move his Wife, Fleur into suitable accommodation as she suffers with Dementia.
Two major storylines in this series is the affair between student Jonah Kirby and teacher Francesca Montoya, the pair fall for eachother and keep it a secret, Francesca falls pregnant and therefore hands in her resignation which reveals the affair to the school. The police are informed and Francesca is put on bail, she breaches her bail and is arrested but the pair are married before the police arrive at their wedding. Josh Stevenson also struggles with his sexuality in series six and finds it difficult to confide in his friends and family. He tries to kiss Finn and the pair fall out, when Josh first comes out as gay to Tom, Tom isn't as supportive as Josh hoped. Tom learns to accept his sons sexuality later in the series and everything carries on as it was.
In the final episode the school have planned a play named CinderFella with Sambuca and Kyle playing the main roles. Finn is not happy that Kyle with have to kiss his girlfriend Sambuca in the play and winds Kyle up purposely knowing he will lose the role and Finn will be given it. Kyle and Denzil scheme revenge with dangerous consequences. Also in the last episode Kyle convinces Denzil to perform a dangerous stunt and when Denzil nearly falls, Finn saves him which lands Finn in hospital.

DVD Release[]
The sixth series of Waterloo Road was released in three different box sets. The first 10 episodes were released on DVD in February 2011, and the last 10 were released on a seperate DVD in June 2011. All episodes were then released together in a DVD set in January 2012.
