Series Three[]
The first series first aired on the 11th of October 2007 and finished after 20 episodes on the 13th of March 2008. The third series of Waterloo Road aired in the UK on Wednesdays at 8.00pm GMT on BBC One. It received an average of 5 million viewers per episode.
Plot[]
Series three begins with Jack Rimmer recording an emotional message for the entire school following Izzies death. Jack was there when Izzie was killed but it was previously unknown to viewers if she had died or not.
Andrew Treneman does not return in series three as he has taken up a teaching post in Rwanda with Kim Campbell, Eddie Lawson replaces Andrew as deputy head. Jack struggles with his job and resigns as head later in the series when the school board see that the school's budget has been misused.
New headmaster Rachel Mason, an ex prostitute who used to be named Amanda Fenshaw. Her past is kept a secret from the pupils and staff at Waterloo Road.
Another major storyline in series three is the marriage of Chlo Grainger and Donte Charles. As they are so young everyone has their doubts, Tom even tries to stop the wedding but they go through with it anyway. Everyones doubts are confirmed when Chlo sleeps with Mika's boyfriend Brett Aspinall. When Mika finds out she tells Chlo she never wants to see her again and Chlo runs away to Manchester. This causes more problems for the family as they are already struggling following their mothers death. Chlo does return to Waterloo Road but her and Donte's relationship doesn't look like its going to be rekindled despite Mika and Brett getting back together, and fighting for environmental rights together.
In series three Davina Shakleton is accused of having an affair with pupil Brett Aspinall, and is then forced to date his father or face losing her job or being arrested. More storylines in series three include, the deportation of a pupil, plagiarism, and English teacher Jasmine Koreshi being accused of assault by new pupil Michaela White.
At the end of series three a fire spreads throughout the school. Stuart Hordley had started the fire and tried to blackmail Rachel, which left Davina Shakleton in hospital and Chlo Grainger trapped in the toilets. Chlo is rescued by Tom and Donte, while Rachel and Stuart are left trapped in the rubble and their fate is unknown.

The third series of Waterloo Road is avaliable on DVD in 3 different sets the first 10 episodes were released on DVD in March 2009, then episode 11 to 20 were released on DVD in May 2009, they were later released as one six disc set. The special features include 'Autumn Term Scrapbook','Pupil Reports','Teacher Evaluation' and a 'Spring Term Scrapbook'.
