Series Two[]
The second series first aired on the 18th of January and finished after 12 episodes on the 26th of April 2007. The second series of Waterloo Road aired in the UK on Wednesdays at 8.00pm GMT on BBC One. It received an average of 4.80 million viewers per episode.
Plot[]
The first episode of series two reveals that Lorna Dickey survived what was portrayed as a suicide attempt in the last episode of series one. Tom Clarkson is now expecting a baby with Izzie Redpath which makes it tense in the staff room and difficult for everyone. Things get worse for Tom, Izzie and Lorna when Lorna is diagnosed with MS (Multiple Sclerosis).
Roger Aspinall arrives in the second series as a school governor, who has promised to invest in the school in exchange for a seat on the governing body. He also enrols his son Brett Aspinall in the school, Brett is later involved in a major storyline when he has an affair with the new school secretary Davina Shackleton.
Other major storylines included the drug dealing involving two pupils which later ends in the violent and fatal stabbing of Izzie Redpath, the alcoholism of trainee teacher Russell Millen, the cyberbullying of Mika Grainger and the return of former pupil Maxine Barlow.
The series ended with the governors preparing to make a decision on who would be Waterloo Road's permanent headmaster.

The second series of Waterloo Road is avaliable on DVD in the UK. Unlike the first series DVD set the second series contains special features which include 'Miss Haydock Reveals All' and 'Mika's Video Diary'.
